Abstract

The current research emphasizes the creation and assessment of innovative Schiff bases obtained from vanillin through environmentally sustainable methods. Two compounds, specifically vanillin–4–amino isoindoline-1,3-dione and vanillin–6–methyl pyrimidine–4–amine Schiff bases, were produced using reflux and maceration methods. Structural validation was attained using physicochemical analysis, including melting point assessment and FTIR spectroscopy, which confirmed the existence of the azomethine (C=N) functional group. The biological efficacy of the synthesized compounds was evaluated using PASS prediction, SwissADME analysis, molecular docking. The PASS outcomes suggested many likely pharmacological effects with notable Pa values. SwissADME evaluation indicated advantageous pharmacokinetic characteristics, encompassing effective gastrointestinal absorption and adherence to drug-likeness criteria. Molecular docking analyses revealed encouraging binding affinities with proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase, with the isoindoline derivative exhibiting enhanced interaction (−7.0 kcal/mol).
